MLK Day of Mitzvot

Volunteer for Park Synagogue’s

MLK DAY OF MITZVOT

To carry on the teachings and heritage of Martin Luther King, Jr. to help and care for others in our community, Park Synagogue will be holding a Day of Mitzvot to give everyone an opportunity to volunteer for one or more of the following projects:

Donate Blood at our American Red Cross Blood Drive
8:00 am-1:00 pm
Donors must be 17 and older and meet certain eligibility requirements.

Make an appointment to donate blood by emailing lgardner@parksyn.org or by calling 216-371-2244 ext. 161.

Make Bag Lunches for People in Need
10:00-11:00 am

Volunteers must be age 8 and up, healthy, and not have peanut allergies. Volunteer as a family!
Volunteers will be asked to donate some contents of the bag lunches, such as bread, peanut butter, jelly, water, etc.

Write Thank You Letters & Make Cards for Israeli Soldiers
9:00 am-1:00 pm

Great for all ages! Come as a family!

Decorate and Fill Snack & Activity Bags for Families at the Ronald McDonald House
10:30 am-11:30 am

All age volunteers are welcome to help! Come as a family!
Volunteers will be asked to donate some items for the bags.

Make Non-Sew Fleece Blankets to Keep Shelter Residents Warm
10:30 am-12:30 pm

Volunteers must be 8 & up. Come as a family!
Volunteers will be asked to bring fleece to work on. Specific details will be sent ahead of time.

Please register by January 7 on the Park Synagogue website or through the Weekly Wrap to volunteer.
