FALL FOLIAGE WALK
Sunday Morning, September 15
Penitentiary Glen Nature Center
8668 Kirtland-Chardon Rd., Kirtland
Join a Penitentiary Glen naturalist for a morning program at this beautiful Lake Metroparks site in Kirtland that was once the summer home of the Halle family. The group will tour the Nature Center and hear about the history of the property when the Halle family lived there. We will then take an easy 45-minute walk on paved or compacted gravel trails around the park. The walk will end with a self-guided tour of the Wildlife Center Yard. Participants must be able to walk at a moderate pace for 45-minutes, including stairs and a hill.
Time:
9:45 am—Meet at the Penitentiary Glen Metropark in Park
10:00 am—Tour and walk begins
Fee: $5.00/per person
We will try to arrange carpools for participants that would like to drive or ride with someone else.
Prepaid reservations are required by September 9 through the Park website, Weekly Wrap, or by sending all name(s), email, cell phone number, if you want to carpool, and check to Fall Foliage Walk, Park Synagogue, 27500 Shaker Blvd., Pepper Pike, OH 44124.
